“Closer Than I’ve Ever Been”

Here is the chorus to song by Mark Schultz:    Let me fall down at Your feet;  feel Presence all around me;  don’t let go;  until I am closer;  closer than I’ve ever been.  Until I find myself in all Your glory;  until I’m weak enough to seek Your strength;  until I know that I am held by mercy;  until I am closer; closer than I’ve ever been.    I love this!  He is asking the Lord to let him fall, become weak enough to seek strength, mercy, grace.  I know that I find myself going along just fine, not even realizing that I am going on my own strength.  Trick of the enemy!   Are we brave enough to ask the Lord to let us fall so that we can become closer to Him than ever before?  We do become stronger and closer as we struggle to climb to the mountain top.  I want to get so close to the Lord that when I “go across” to the other side someday, it won’t really be a change because I will have already been living a “heavenly life”.  Just the scenery will change!  I will know and feel so close to my Lord that their will be no fear of the change.  I will look in His face and see my Loved One, the One I trust.

Please pray for the Sellen family during this difficult time in the loss of Lois Sellen today.

Please continue to pray for Lois Sellen.  She is full of cancer and the doctors say that there is nothing they can do and that she has very little time. 

Please pray for Seth Moore, that God will continue to turn his life around.

Please pray for Darren Luke and his precious family as he leaves for Afghanistan for a year.

Richard and Horses

Richard was able to visit a farm that had horses.  He really doesn’t do well with riding but he was willing to go.  The lady that has the horses, Dawn, has work horses that she uses to work with autistic children.  Please pray for this wonderful ministry.  She has the work horses because they are so gentle with the kids.  But because they were so big, Richard got out of riding them!  He is enjoying getting to know the people of the church by getting more involved with them.    ~Tammy

Prayer Needed in Louisiana

A friend that I attend church with, Janene, received a call right after church on Sunday.  Her mother was taken to the hospital in Louisiana with severe pain and bleeding.  The doctors are running tests.  Please pray for traveling for Janene and healing for her mother.

Caleb and Sussie Hitt will be going with a team to minister at the Kairos Prison in Ohio.  They will be ministering this Thursday, May 19, through Sunday, May 22.  Pray with us that lives will be changed through our great and mighty God!
